Vacancy: (Junior) Software Engineer

You will join the team of Jessie, a close-knit group of four professionals who value an easy-going and non-hierarchical culture. Your primary mission is to immerse yourself in the world of Air Traffic Management (ATM). We don’t just want you to write code; we want you to understand the industry. This foundation will allow you to take on diverse innovation projects and collaborate with different teams within 42 Solutions. You will be working on safety-security systems where there is no room for error, contributing directly to global aviation safety.

- Our main customer is Eurocontrol and the CIMACT project. CIMACT is an air traffic situation picture which air traffic controllers use to track aircraft in European airspace. This project has been ongoing for 25+ years and we provide maintenance support for the software and being supoprt with installations. CIMACT is deployed at multiple locations across several countries in Europe.

- We also have another contract with Eurocontrol, workflow application support. Our team working on this project has experience with C++, Java, and/or Python.

- Other projects include Merlin (similar to CIMACT but outside of Eurocontrol): consultancy services, and record/replay software called Transcriber.

• Contributing to the development and maintenance of DevOps pipelines and software solutions.

• Traveling regularly within Europe to client sites (e.g., Eurocontrol, NATO, and various Air Forces).

• Participating in innovation projects to stay ahead of industry standards.

• Collaborating with your team to ensure the highest levels of system reliability.

We are looking for a 'moldable' junior or a more experienced engineer who is eager to learn and easy to get along with.

• You hold a relevant degree (Software Engineering, IT, or similar).

• You are comfortable working in a team and enjoy a dynamic environment.

• You are willing to travel frequently within Europe.

• Essential: You must be eligible for Eurocontrol and NATO security clearance (EU Passport required).

• You are pro-active, curious about the aviation industry, and have a high sense of responsibility.
