Your challenge as IT / Electronical Mechanic
You will be responsible for both corrective and preventive maintenance works for Alstom’s onboard signalling systems solutions as installed in freight locomotives and passenger trains. Some of our customers are: NS, Volkerrail, BeaconRail, Rotterdam Rail Feeding and Railtraxx. On a day to day basis your job consists of fixing issues related to the onboard safety electronical systems (digital & integrated technological solutions). Some examples of the maintenance works are: fixing issues due to operator handling mistakes, defects from daily operations, inspections, adjustments, system performance tests, software up-/downgrades, specific projects and updates and maintenance from “normal” wear and tear.
As you work with “state-of-the-art” electrical safety systems, follow-up of processes, protocols and having a good administration is key and will be a major part of the job. The requested services can take place anywhere in The Netherlands (Rotterdam/Amsterdam area) and Belgium (Antwerp area) which is around 85% of our main operating area as well as in Luxembourg and Germany. Requested services take mainly place in a maintenance workshop or on-site. You will be part of a team of 5 onboard mechanics and will be working most of the time by yourself, but it is also common to work together with colleagues. We will provide you with a company car and of course all the training needed to perform your job.

Salary indication: € 3.250 - € 3.850 gross per month. Practical: We follow the cla (cao) Metalelektro which offers 40 vacation days.
The ideal Electronical Mechanic – Trains
It’s preferred that you have electronical experience in a similar industry (automotive, railway, aviation, shipping) where you provided technical services independently. A driver’s license is necessary.
